My Favorite New Way To Display Books.
I’ve been collecting coffee table books for years and years. They were some of the very first items that I purchase with my own money (first paychecks!!) to decorate our apartment and moved with us to several other apartments before finally setting in our current home.

I love to use coffee table books as decor. They add texture and warmth and personality to a space and are a great way to add height and interest. Layer then in stacks on a coffee table, place a few favorites on your nightstand or fill a bookcase. I’ve linked some of my favorite coffee table books here!
One thing that our home is lacking (a project that I have on my list for this year!) is that we do not have any built-ins or bookcases. Most of the larger walls in our home are filled with windows, which gives our space the most beautiful natural light but does limit how much we’re able to display. There are benefits to this, of course: our house doesn’t typically look or feel cluttered. But still, I do wish we have more surface areas to display photo frames, decorative objects, and of course, books.
A few weeks ago, Design With Reach contacted me to ask if I might be interested in one of their Story Bookcases and as soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew it would be perfect for our home!
The bookcase is tall but very narrow. It has the tiniest footprint, which means it can fit virtually anywhere. We had a few empty corners in our den that I thought might work perfectly.
You can stack the books in three directions by shifting the shelves around (front, left or right) and you can also adjust the shelves so you have more or fewer. I LOVE how it looks (and honestly, this would be such a fun piee for a kid’s bedroom too!!)
After living with the bookcase next to our sofa for a few weeks, I decided to move it across the room to fill an awkward corner and it fits like a glove. I’m sure that this bookcase will move around throughout our home over the years but for now, I’m absolutely loving it in here.
I have the standard size but there’s also a taller option available. You can shop it here.
