All of the Wallpaper Throughout Our Home.
As a follow up to last week’s post detailing all of the paint colors throughout our home, I’m back to share all of the wallpaper that we have!
I’ll start with our breakfast nook, which I’m asked about most often. This was the very first traditional wallpaper and I ever installed myself and it’s from Serena & Lily but sadly discontinued. I absolutely fell in love with the gray and white floral print and I hope that they’ll bring it back someday!
Next up is our dining room where I installed grasscloth wallpaper in the prettiest “fog” colorway. Grasscloth is such a timeless material. We’ve had it on the walls for over six years now and I still love it. It adds the perfect amount of texture and color without feeling too busy.
Around the corner in our mudroom, we have this stunning Maisey Denim wallpaper (in peel-and-stick)! I wanted something fun and bold since it’s such a small hallway and I love how the design brightens up the space. It’s always fun to experiment with a bolder print or brighter color in a small space. A little goes a long way!
Our powder room is wallpapered in another Serena & Lily print that’s no longer sold. It’s a wavy stripe that I fell in love with years ago but might be replacing with something else soon…. stay tuned!
In the kids’ upstairs bathroom we have Tumbling Ocean Waves, also from Spoonflower. This is not peel-and-stick but it’s available in the removable option if you prefer it! I love the pattern — it’s whimsical without feeling too busy. Super fun for a kids’ bathroom. We have the “grey” colorway but it’s also available in a few other colors.
Jacob’s bedroom is where I experimented with wallpaper for the very first time, initially starting with one wall of this Jungle Animals peel-and-stick (when it was still his nursery!) and a few years later, wrapping the entire room in the same wallpaper because we loved it so much. He still loves it!
Ava’s bedroom was originally painted a few light pink, which I decided that I hated immediately and so the very next day, I ordered this Tropical Palms wallpaper to install on all of the walls. Same brand as the wallpaper in Jacob’s bedroom and I love it! It’s been up for over five years already!
Our attic has gone through a few refreshes over the years but at the moment, is converted into a cozy bedroom/home office and I found this super affordable peel-and-stick wallpaper from Amazon that looks great on the walls! I love the whimsical forest toile pattern. Comes in two colors, I have the cream colorway.
I don’t show our playroom often because it’s usually a mess but a few years ago, I wallpapered the entire play space with this Feather wallpaper from Serena & Lily in Bone. It’s such a gorgeous neutral print (comes in a few colors). Super simple to install and match the pattern up!
A few months ago, I used leftover Feather Flock wallpaper (from Amazon!) to pretty up this closet in our attic and I really love how it turned out. The wallpaper is a total steal and the prettiest pattern. Was super easy to install!
I truly believe that installing wallpaper is a DIY that nearly anyone can do. I wrote a detailed blog post with tips that you can read here. When installing peel-and-stick wallpaper, these are the tools that you’ll need:
Sharp scissors
And if you’re attempting to install traditional (non-removable) wallpaper, you’ll need all of the above tools as well as wallpaper paste (this is my favorite one) and a rolling paintbrush to apply the paste to the wall.
