Celebrating Independent Artist's Day with Minted.

One piece that we’ve had for a long time and still absolutely love is" “Man in Red” by Kate Baird.

I love the composition of the piece — it’s just so interesting how its shot but my favorite part is absolutely the man in red in the center of the photograph. It’s such a cool piece that we’ve happily displayed in our living room for years! The artist, Kate Baird, is an American photographer currently residing in Europe and her love for travel and exploring new places truly shows through this piece.

Another favorite in our home is actually part of the gallery wall that I hung in our den last fall. It’s called “On the Beach” and was painted by artist Lulaloo.

Lulaloo studied graphic design in university and started off as a freelance designer before experimenting with watercolor. The piece is done in watercolor and has the most beautiful details, reminding me of summers spent on the beach.

A final favorite from our home is “Transfiguration” by Spanish artist Catilustre out of Frankfurt, Germany. I like to mix mediums throughout our home and love how this sketch works with our gallery wall.
