Ava's Big Girl Room Reveal.

Ava’s now 3.5 years old and was so ready for her big girl bed. I actually ordered her a bed back in November but it was on backorder for months and then one morning I stumbled upon this Pismo bed from Crate & Kids and immediately fell in love with it.

I didn’t originally want to go with a pink bed but this one is the perfect grapefruit color — just the softest pink with pops of peach and I just knew it would be perfect. I also really loved how low to the ground it was and the rounded corners of the wingback. I canceled the original bed that we had been waiting on for months and ordered this one. which arrived just a few days later! Ava absolutely LOVES it, as do I. It’s so cute and makes reading in the evenings that much cozier.

About a week after the bed was delivered, I visited the Serena & Lily Design Shop in Summit and picked out some new bedding for Ava’s bed:

The Priano print is something that I’ve loved for years, so I was really excited to incorporate it into her room through the duvet and euro sham. I chose a simple set of sheets and pillow cases in the most beautiful scallop print and added a throw pillow that we had and voila! Just about the cutest bed you’ve ever seen!

I also chose this scalloped bedside table for one side of Ava’s bed, which I feel really completes the space. It’s the perfect size but incredible sturdy and I love how the scalloped edges of the table ensure that nothing falls off! It’s all tidy at the moment but in the evenings, Ava likes to line her unicorns up along the scalloped edge and they stay there safely without falling off the table :)

I grabbed one of the floor pillows from the basement playroom and added it to the floor beside the bed just in case Ava falls out but it’s been a few weeks now and she hasn’t fallen out once so fingers crossed!
