Review: Our Serena & Lily Pacifica Corner Sectional.

Good morning, friends! I’ve been planning to share this post for awhile now, so I’m so excited to finally get it published. One of the most common questions I receive from followers on Instagram is about our outdoor furniture, and in particular, our sectional. The questions range from how I chose it to its overall durability and how we keep it clean… so today I’ve decide to share all of the details!

Our outdoor sofa is the Pacifica sectional from Serena & Lily and we’ve had it for just over a year now.

Since this was a bigger purchase, I did a ton of research and looked at a number of different retailers before deciding that this was the right choice for us. What swayed me were a few things:

Style. The style of the Pacifica sectional in itself is stunning. It’s large enough to fit our whole family (and friends!) but still looks delicate on our patio. I love the woven rattan look and how comfortable the cushions are. It also comes in a TON of fabric options — everything from neutral linens, to bright colors and patterns — all in weather-resistant materials.

Durability. The Pacifica has the look of classic wicker furniture but it’s actually made of all-weather resin on powdercoated aluminum frames, which means it works beautifully in all climates. We live in NJ, which means that have hot summers and long, cold winters — and this sectional has lasted! I brought the cushions inside in November and stored them until this spring, but left the frame of the sofa outside (covered) and it still looks absolutely perfect.

Kid-friendly. We have two young kids, a giant dog, and trees that shed all over our yard. We wanted to be able to enjoy our backyard without having to worry about muddy feet/paws or spills. I swear that the cushions on this sofa are magic! Most stains will wipe off with soap and water, but the covers also zip off easily in case you need to throw them into the washing machine. We kept the cushions on all spring/summer/fall this past year, and only when we brought them inside to store for the winter, did I wash everything in the washing machine. And you know what? The covers look absolutely perfect and were so easy to put back onto the cushions.

I chose the Perennials Basketweave fabric in Fog, which is a beautiful light gray, and it shipped in just two weeks (seriously so fast!!). There are five fabric options for quick ship but a ton of others if you’re willing to wait a bit longer. I chose the Fog because the light gray coordinates with the rest of our home and it has allowed me to have some fun with outdoor throw pillows.

I absolutely love the beachy feel that the Pacifica sectional brings to our patio and 100% recommend it to anyone looking to add some seating to their outdoor space. After purchasing the sectional, we actually ordered a pair of Catalina Rockers last summer (which the kids love) and recently ordered a pair of Loring chairs for another corner of our backyard. The Loring chairs are amazing because they’re so lightweight — we pull them up to the sofa whenever we’re in need of extra seating. Both the rockers and these chairs are made of the same all-weather resin on powdercoated aluminum frames, which means I don’t have to worry about them sitting outside in the rain or snow.
