The Best Faux Pumpkins.
True story: when we first moved to the suburbs, I ran to Trader Joe’s and picked out a batch of the most beautiful heirloom and cinderella pumpkins. A gorgeous mix of shapes and colors and they looked SO GOOD on our front porch! It made me irrationally happy. Fast forward a week or two later, and they were either rotting or half-eaten by squirrels and it wasn’t even October yet!
The following year, I vowed to only buy a few real pumpkins for carving jack-o-lanterns and to keep the rest of our decor on the faux side so it would last. I hunted around for realistic pumpkins that didn’t cost a fortune and honestly, I found some really amazing options.
I’ve been adding to my collection over the years, storing them in bins in the garage until my favorite season is upon us, and I’m so thrilled to be sharing them with you today. I promise that you’ll love them and most importantly, they’ll last and look incredible for years to come!
The first faux pumpkins that I found were from Pottery Barn and they bring them back every year for good reason. These faux pumpkins and gourds are great! Slightly on the pricier side but still reasonable and remember, these last: so you’re only buying them once! Great for a covered porch or indoors! I also bought a few bags of their mini faux pumpkins, which look so pretty in a big bowl or scattered across the mantel. Available in orange or a really pretty cream/blue collection if that’s more your style!
I also ordered a bunch from Michael’s which is the most affordable of the options and they look amazing! Possibly my favorite of the options. Lots of colors, sizes and styles. I personally love to have a few of each size to scatter them but choose the ones that you like best! I’ve linked them all here.
I more recently ordered a few options from McGee & Co, Ballard Designs, and Grandin Road. All are reasonably priced and look realistic but if I were to choose my favorites, I’d honestly go back to the my mix of pumpkins from Pottery Barn and Michael’s because they can’t be beat!
