Our Annaway Dining Table: An Honest Review.
If you were to ask me what my favorite room in our house is, I’d have to tell you that it’s our dining room. This space gets the best natural light throughout the day (truly bright from late morning through early evening) and it’s the place where we all hang out the most. Whether it’s coloring at the table, enjoying meals, or flipping through a magazine or book — we spend a lot of time here.
For that reason, it was important for me to find a table (and chairs!) that could hold up to our busy lifestyle and seat our family comfortably. I immediately knew that I wanted a round table (round = cozy in my book) and I was hoping to find one with a marble top that would be easy to clean. Wiping down a wooden table each day isn’t my idea of a good time and I didn’t want glass either. I looked for awhile, but most of the tables I found leaned a tad too modern for my taste.
Then I stumbled upon the Annaway Dining Table from Anthropologie and immediately fell in love with it. This table has the most beautiful marble top (white with slight veins and tiny grey sparkling flecks throughout) but what really sold me on this table was the base: Instead of the typical modern tulip base, this table has more of a bistro silhouette in the most beautiful light gray.
With a 46’’ diameter, my only hesitation was whether it would be large enough for our family of four but it actually fits five people perfectly (we have five chairs around the table on a daily basis) — and if you squeeze, you can really fit six.
I ordered it right away, five years ago, and still love it just as much today as the day it arrived:
It fits our home beautifully, is sturdy (doesn’t wobble or tip), and most importantly, holds up to our family. We aren’t precious with it either. My only rule for this table is: NO SHARPIE MARKERS. We eat directly on it, drink wine and coffee off of it, set candles and hot dishes on it, let the kids color and do play-doh on it, you name it. Everything wipes off of it either with water or marble cleaner (I like to use this one to clean our table and countertops each day). And after five years of using it daily, NO STAINS!
It’s honestly a miracle table.
Last year, Anthropologie launched two additional versions of this table: a larger oval shape and also a side table version. So pretty right?
So would I recommend this table? 10/10 yes! And no, this isn’t a sponsored post in any way; I just truly love this table. Linking the full Annaway Collection below. Leave a comment at the end of this post with any questions!
