Jefferson St. Project.
I'm excited to finally share the full reveal of my Jefferson Project! Recently, I've been helping a friend in Hoboken redesign the living room of her new apartment. The project actually began as a simple gallery wall collaboration and install, but we quickly expanded it to include the full living room and I'm really glad that we did!
The room is fairly large, but narrow and has no natural light -- so our challenge was to keep the space light and airy, while still adding personality (and enough seating to comfortably host friends). This is the mood board I originally put together for the space:
As you can see, we kept our color scheme to neutrals, favoring whites and golds. The result is a super sleek living space that isn't complicated with too many pieces of furniture, but still feels like home.
For the gallery wall, we used a mix of favorite artwork, photographs of friends and family, and meaningful inspirational quotes. Mood board here:
Since the quotes were so personal, I actually DIY'd them (since they didn't exist elsewhere). The gallery wall is built around a mounted television, which can sometimes be a challenge, but really worked for our space.
See below for detailed shots of the room. I'm thrilled with how it turned out!
