Safari Nursery Update.
A few months ago, I began helping my friend, Lynn, design an elephant-themed nursery for her son. Well, now that her little boy has been born and the room is complete, I'm excited to finally share how it turned out!
We originally planned on a gray and white nursery, but then decided there would be enough gray with all of the adorable elephant accents. Instead, Lynn painted the walls a blue-gray color and chose to keep all of the furniture white.
My favorite part of the nursery is this amazing Macrame Wool Rug that we found at Serena & Lily:
While we originally considered Serena & Lily's Zig Cotton Dhurrie (in gray) and the Azul Handpainted Rug (in blue), we both immediately fell in love with the simplicity of this macrame rug. It's soft enough for the nursery and doesn't scream "baby" (so it can easily transition to any other room in the house if Lynn decides to change things up). I personally want one for our master bedroom!
We used West Elm's Deep Picture Ledges in white to create the perfect reading nook (you'll remember I used the same ones in Jake's room!) and chose The Animal Print Shop's Baby Elephant photograph for just above the glider.
