Nursery Art.
I can finally say that the nursery is nearly complete(!) so I should be ready to share a reveal within the next week or so. The only thing that's missing is a piece of artwork to fill a large, blank wall over the sofa.
A few weeks ago, I shared my nursery inspiration board, which really helped to set the tone of the room. Even though I created that board awhile ago, I ended up keeping the general color scheme of blues, grays, and creams in my final design. But while the room's colors might be in order, I really didn't stick with a "theme" - which has actually made finding the right pieces of artwork a bit tricky.
Here's a peek at the wall that I'm trying to fill:
While I don't know exactly what I'd like to hang, I do know that I want something with muted colors and a piece that's sophisticated enough to grow with the room as it changes over the years.
Here are a few options I've been considering (from left to right: Wolf Pup Pair, Five O'Clock, Runny Bunny No.2):
...as well as some cool prints and photographs (from left to right: London Skyline, California Dreams, NYC Viewpoint):
... and even a couple of abstracts (from left to right: Snowscape 1, Form):
As you can see, my taste is a bit all over the place and not having a theme isn't helping things!
The wall is fairly large, so whatever I choose will have to be big enough to really command the space (without costing a fortune).
Which piece is your favorite? Or do you have other ideas for what might work in the space? Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
